Hugs of Love Support Group

MISSION STATEMENT WITH THE FOLLOWING GOALS

To always remember our beloved troops who are serving our nation either on the home front or overseas.
To give our love and support to the wives, mothers and/or friends of the soldier who is away from home.
To give our time to them by writing letters, cards and mailing “We-Care” packages which include many surprises, knowing they may not be able to respond to Hugs due to their circumstances while serving our country.
Each soldier receives our very own Hugs Bear “Manny”, who is now the official mascot of our group.

Cards, letters, “We-Care” packages, along with many surprises are mailed to our adopted soldiers on a regular monthly basis. Our soldiers are stationed all around the globe.

“Hugs of Love” meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30PM to 7:30PM at the home of Nancy & Bob Kelley. You do not have to attend all meeting to be included in the “Hugs of Love” family.

Many devoted members, along with many school groups from Rhode Island, North Carolina, Old Orchard Beach, Saco and Biddeford continue to support the group.

Our soldiers appreciate all we continue to do for them. 1st LT Donahue wrote,” A hand written letter is like holding hands with the sender.”
